Nursery Class Structure

Dear all,

Next year our school is splitting our mixed age groups of 3-5's to 3-4's and 4-5's. I am wondering how people who teach 3-4 year olds in a school have their class time tabled or set up. We are an International school and have recently changed our curriculum to an EYFS play based system. I am not in a position to visit other play based systems that are teaching according to the EYFS statutory framework. My background is also not in a play based system. The 3-4 year olds day starts at 8.30 and finished at 3.30.

Thanks,

Thank you. I just have another few questions for you if that's ok. Are you in a school setting and if so how many children are in your class?

Also within this set up do you still have adult directed activities and child initiated activities?

How many of these are focused activities?

Thanks again,
