Guest
Hi I am a reception teacher in a primary school with no attached nursery. We have several feeder nurseries one of which has just had an OFSTED. Apparently OFSTED was very keen on the nurseries Fit Persons Policy. I assume this is linked to safe guarding children and ensuring all those who come into contact have CRB checks etc. However I have never heard of this, basically my question is should I have one? If so can anyone point me in the right direction to get the relevant information. Thanks Jay
Guest LornaW
Good morning concrete either you couldn't sleep or you are a really early bird!!! As you are a school you would not be expected to have a separate policy for this in reception. Your school will have a safeguarding policy and it may be an idea for you to read it and be aware of its content as you may be asked by Ofsted although it is rare. So don't worry!
