Examples Of What Statements And Elg's Mean

 Share

Recommended Posts

Hi, does anyone know of anywhere I can get hold of something that really explains what the development matters statements mean? For 40-60 and the ElG's. I need some kind of reference for the staff in my unit, so they know what each statement really looks like. Especially in areas like 'language for thinking'? I'm not sure they entirely understand what some of the staements mean.

Thanks for any ideas!

Not sure if this is what you mean, but in the EYFS practice guidance booklet (the one with the development matters statements in for 6 areas of learning), the other columns alongside development matters are:

- look, listen and note

- effective practice

- planning and resourcing

Don't know if these are of any help though.

I think everyone's life would be a lot easier if we all knew that!

But try the NAA, there were some exemplifacation materials publishe in 2007, I think. A search here might even bring up the link as I think Steve notified us all of that back then!
