Panders Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 We help the children to make wind wands - v. simple, a stick, - we make ours from very tightly rolled A4 paper, they then cellotape strips of cut up plastic bags to the wand - when we go outside they wave them about in the wind, we also put strips of plastic bags into a bare tree so that they can see which way the wind is blowing from, same reason - sort of, they have a bubble machine outside to see which way they go - we make paper bag kites, we have a supply of medium sized paper bags which the children can decorate if they wish, they cut a length of string and some masking tape and tape the string to the outside of the bag, we open the bag a little to let the air in and if it is a good breezy day - up they go!! , if not the children run up and down with them!
Guest Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 Thanks for these, hope its still windy on moday!! Gill
