JacquieL
Pictorial resources which emphasise inclusion so show children from different ethnic groups doing ordinary everyday things together. Dolls from different ethnic groups. Lots of books which have children from different ethnic groups without stereotyping them as living in huts etc. Children who live in this country are British now, but will celebrate their cultural heritage. Clothing reflecting traditional costume used for celebrations. Resources which recognise the different religions which children could belong to and therefore celebrate. Cooking items like a wok in the role-play, balti dishes etc.
Guest
Cooking items like a wok in the role-play, balti dishes etc We want to improve this area but the ones in most catalogs-NES, Arnold, YPO look very cheap and expensive!! Any new ideas for good ones? I have my own chapatti pan but by its nature it very heavy so I've ruled out 'real life' which I'd prefer.
JacquieL
Have a look in IKEA for cooking items as I have managed to find suitable ones there in the past. If you Google Multicultural Resources UK I think you will find that there are a lot of suitable suppliers around.
