Guest
I am beginning to plan this years nativity play and heard a positive review about a nativity play with songs that have nursery rhyme tunes- thought this would make song learning easier! So far I have found 2 publications available- 1 has a CD and 1 doesn't. Wondered if anyone has used either and can advise whether they found them worthwhile? If not what are peoples general idea about whether the CD is necessary or not? http://www.musicroom.com/se/ID_No/014301/details.html http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nursery-Rhyme-Nati...m/dp/184101236X
Guest
Yes we have done this one, it is easy enough to learn but very hard to forget come January!! The CD makes it easier to learn the songs and also has just the backing tracks so you can sing without the voice on show days. Enjoy
Guest
We've used the Brian Ogden one. There are 3 plays in it, all very good. Al

Al Are the songs easy enough to learn and 'interpret' without a CD? I don't always find fitting songs to tunes very easy!
Guest
Most of the songs fit the tunes but the odd one is more difficult - I'm pretty hopeless at tunes though
katekit
WE have done this play a few times and we find it's the easiest one. We use the words and music to learn the songs, playing in the background in classtime and for learning specific songs then we just use the music for the play. I agree though, the songs (like any you learn in school) do get in your head and are still there in your dreams! but they are usually gone quite quickly! (I was hoping we might do this one again this year)
