JJA Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 I'm looking for (free) help on how to train my staff on safe manual handling/lifting techniques. The only free leaflets I've found I would have to 'doctor' hugely to make relevent - what do you all use in induction?? Quote
Guest Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 This poster any good? (must have scanned it in upside down, sorry!) I issue it to everyone but then require them to go on a manual handling course! Manual_Handling_info.doc Quote
Guest Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 You know I never thought to ask on here earlier in the summer when I was looking for one of these. I know what you mean about not being able to find one. I thought HSE would do something like this but all I found was info for employers to minimise risk and assess it. I made my own by cutting and pasting on the computer and it is like LJW's. I will try to attach it. The images and text are courtesy of HSE though. Manual_Handling.pdf Quote
SueJ Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 We also use the psla one and like LJW give a copy to everyone including work placement students and volunteers as well as employees just to cover ourselves. Quote
JJA Posted September 7, 2009 Author Posted September 7, 2009 Thanks everyone. That's all the info I have found as well - it's nice to know I'm not going mad! Quote
