Rea
We're doing 'Parties' next term. I've got some ideas out of a pretty good book but they're a bit flat. I'm in need of exciting activities, something to make me get out of bed on cold January mornings for. Thanks in advance to all your wonderful ideas

Guest
Wrap up some shoe boxes so the lids come off - use these for presents for the children to bring to the party. Make a rhyming game with the boxes so Molly's gift is a Dolly. A car from Star. A shell from Belle. Plane from Jane. Ball from Paul. Play a What's in the box? game - fill boxes with gifts and give the children 3/4 clues and they have to guess what is inside. They could also ask questions - but not allowed to guess until 4 questions have been asked - it takes a while but they can get quite good with practice. We had a party corner just before Christmas and it was very popular. We put in the toys, party hats, cakes, party cups and streamers.
