How To Incorporate Eyfs In After School Care

Hello,

 

I run an after school club for children between the ages of 4 to 7 years. I want some inputs/advice on how to incorporate EYFS and the six areas of the curriculum to my After School Program.

 

Can anyone help please?

IN the afterschool club I manage we show "an awareness of" the EYFS by being able to produce a plan of activities for each month that cover every area.

 

HOWEVER

 

After school club is instead of being at home and I don't believe that pressure should be put on any child to continue being "educated" in what is essentially their own, down time!!

 

I am lucky that three of my staff work in nursery at various points and so they are well aware of the EYFS.

 

We have had 2 inspections and the afterschool club have come out well in both.
