Guest lesboyle Posted April 30, 2009 Share Posted April 30, 2009 I have been asked to do a presentation on [b]developing opportunities for raising achievement in disadvantaged areas.[/b] I was wondering if anyone has had any successes in developing community links and partnerships with parents in deprived or ethnically diverse areas and could give me some ideas. I've been on an excellent course from them, and I know they have just had a new publication released about working with parents to achieve better outcomes for children. Alternatively, do you have a family learning coordinator in your local authority? S/he would be able to give you some advice, I'm sure.
