A really good book on how to do a research project is by Guy Roberts-Homes and is called 'Doing your early years research project. If you are looking for writers on outdoor play then doing a search on Amazon might be helpful for books by Helen Bilton, or 'Exercising muscles and minds'by Marjorie Ouvry: they're two quite well known ones that I can think of off the top of my head - hope that helps.
