Guest Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 My husband runs a parent toddler group at the school I teach. It's lovely group and parents have donated the toys etc themselves. It is now needing to replace toys but the school is unable to offer storage so money saved for toys is needing to go towards storage. I was wondering if anyone knew where he might be able to apply to get funds for equipment etc cheers cherry Quote
Guest Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 Our town has a 'local charities' organisation and anyone you approach them for funding, they assess your needs and decide whether to give you money or not. We also have a carnival every year and the money raised can be applied for, for good causes. Does your town anything like this that you can apply to. Quote
Guest Wolfie Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 How about National Lottery - Awards for All? Quite a straightforward application process and quite quick as well. Quote
Guest Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 If you have a local Co-op they should have a community fund that will donate to local groups. Ours has been very generous and often they are struggling to give the money away. Jane Quote
lynned55 Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 Try contacting your local branch of PSLA and/or your borough's EY's. Both of ours are very helpful to Toddler groups. PSLA has a Toddler Development Worker and our local branch has just voted to give the four groups in our area that are members a small grant each for resources. Quote
