This may seem an odd topic.....but there is a reason for me posting it! I have an interview in early January and as part of the interview I have to take a session with a group of undergraduate students to discuss the characteristics of an Early Years teacher! I have my own ideas, but would welcome others! Any offers? :o

Intelligent, reflective, confident in their own ability, patient, tenatious, willing to stand up for what is right, is a researcher looking outwards in the world, has a can do attitude, handles change well, is a team players as well as a confident leader and of course has a wonderful sense of humour!

Happy New Year to everyone.

I think good EY teacher's are pedagogues rather than teachers- can't refer you to any specific book/ article sorry, but might be an avenue to explore?
