Risk Assessment

I have had to do a risk assessment for one of our children - I won't share it because obviously its tailor made for our child. However I just had the following headings:-

  • Area of pre-school (could be the physical place in the setting or a part of the routine)
  • Potential hazard
  • Level of risk
  • Action necessary to reduce risk
  • Residual level of risk

Does that help at all? I was trying to think of an example but my brain is in holiday mode!

Thanks HappyMaz,

That give me some idea of what to include....

I Have been renewing our policies with the help from the new PSLA model policies. In the Administrating Medication policy it states the setting will carry out a risk assessment regarding the medical needs etc......

I already have a l care plan in place for the child.
