I have heard about a Christmas story where the reindeers are ill and father christmas sees a lovely star and wishes he could deliver all his presents. The star turns out to be a spaceship and it helps fatehr christmas to deliver all the presents. In the end the alien is lost and cries. Santa has one present left and gives it to the alien it is a "Guide to the Galaxy Map Book". I dont know the title or the author though and have been searching for ages!!
