Guest Posted September 25, 2004 Posted September 25, 2004 At our school we have LCP files for art which the staff use to plan their lessons. They are all linked to the N.C. and contain lesson objectives and lots of good ideas. There is a LCP Foundation Stage Resource File with lots of topic ideas e.g. Gingerbread Man and how to approach it through the 6 areas of learning. What I would like to know is - Does anybody use this Foundation File and is it useful to planning? www.LCP.co.uk if you would like a look or to download some pages.
bubblejack Posted September 25, 2004 Posted September 25, 2004 Gwen I use the foundation resourse file for most of the time. I find it easy and straightforward. Each of us are responsible for observing and recording a learning goal each week. At the end of term we each go through the observation sheets to mark them off on each child's profile. As you can see all the planning is done for you.I ask each helper to read the notes on the theme so they get the gist of it first.
Rea Posted September 25, 2004 Posted September 25, 2004 Sounds interesting. What is it? How can I get it?
Guest Posted September 25, 2004 Posted September 25, 2004 Have a look on www.LCP.co.uk and then go to Early Years Section
Guest Posted September 25, 2004 Posted September 25, 2004 After much searching I have managed to find a short discussion of this from earlier this year. You will find it here Gwen. Linda
Rea Posted September 25, 2004 Posted September 25, 2004 Thanks Gwen, bit pricey for us at the moment but it's in my fav list.
bubblejack Posted September 25, 2004 Posted September 25, 2004 I forgot to say......... There is enough planning on her to last a year as it contains about 50 different themes
