Guest Posted November 16, 2008 Posted November 16, 2008 Have ofsted visiting our school on tuesday and wednesday and after working all weekend my brain has now gone dead so please help! I need an exciting Numeracy activity to do with the whole class (Reception) and then follow up with small group work and also an activity that focuses on emotional development thats a bit more exciting than reading a story with possible follow up! Any ideas ASAP would be most gratefully appreciated Amylou x
Susan Posted November 16, 2008 Posted November 16, 2008 First, good luck Amy. Have you looked at the SEAL materials, there are some excellent ideas there. What are you focusing on in maths/ numeracy? Can you use the outside?
Guest Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 we have been focussing mainly on numbers 1-9 (although most can do that now) and 1 more / 1 less which they still find difficult! and patterns and shape
Guest Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 and the three little pigs is our literacy/ class theme this week
Susan Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 Sorry Amy, forgot to check back on this last night. Hope all has gone well today and tomorrow will go ok as well.
