Afterschool Club

Hi

Just wondered how other people are getting on with the challenge of reception children in afterschool clubs.

My understanding is that EYFS requires that children in such provision have written observations when engaged in child initiated play. Just in the same way as they would during the day in reception.

How do people arrange activities for the whole age range, because we could have children from years 2-6

How structured does the session look? Obviusly the children have finished school for the day and want to relax. but I don't think parents want their children to be sat in front of television either.

Comments please would be gratefully accepted.
