Guest Posted September 23, 2008 Share Posted September 23, 2008 Hi I really need some advice regarding toilet training two 3 year olds who both have special needs. One is communication mostly the other has down syndrome. This is my first year teaching special ed and I am very lost at knowing the best way to help them and also their parents. What steps would you recommend? They are both in pull ups, neither communicates when they are wet at all and sometimes are reluctant to be changed. The one with communication needs is I think very ready as he often stays dry for long periods (which makes it very difficult to know when he is likely to be wet). Any help very gratefully recieved.
