Guest Posted September 15, 2008 Share Posted September 15, 2008 Hi Does anyone have any ideas for delivering inset to a group of teachers from Nursery to Year 7 around children's needs. I want them to feel what it is like to be a child with reading difficulties or asperger's. This will lead into discussions about strategies in class (maybe something on identifying children with dyslexia etc). We are a British school overseas and do not have much access to EPs, SALT etc. I am SENCO. We have four children with diagnoses of dyslexia (all diagnosed by independent EPs in England), one girl with cerebral palsy and one newly diagnosed with Autusm (from Centre for Autism, Holland) - as well as others at School Action. jennyjenkinz Posted September 15, 2008 Share Posted September 15, 2008 I remember when I was at college when researching dyslexia we uesd some visuals (OHP) that were examples of how people with dyslexia may see written words on paper.
