As will all cultures there are differences about practices between individual families. I am sure also the parents will be pleased to know that you are interested in their culture. Peggy

Scroll down to Hinduism and you will find an excellent site ngfl cymru which I have been using for Hinduism - it is very simply put and very visual with some nice interactive activities.
