Hi dont know what ideas you have but here are a few i have used in the past.

The very hungry caterpillar book. Handa surprise books. You can then base your activities around these stories. Printing using the different foods. Painting the different foods. Collages using differnt materials. Role play area made into a cafe or food shop. Bring in writing in your role play area. Making different fruits in the playdough area. Maths area make booklets from the story of the hungry caterpillar. this then makes into a lovely display. Use songs 5 currant buns, 10 fat sausages etc. Snack table taste different foods. Hope this helps you. Christine 0258 :o

I took photographs of different vegetables, and made a set of cards and base board, we then went shopping for them using the cards for the shopping list (if trips aren't possible adults can do this) Then the children matched the cards, and/or the real vegetables to the boards, we then made vegetable soup which ALL the children loved and wanted seconds of, as parents arrived, astonished at their non fussy demolition of all the soup. xD

Could be done with other food groups too. :o

Pratical Pre-School have a book you can order on the topic of food. I found it useful - lots of good ideas.
