Guest Posted July 5, 2008 Posted July 5, 2008 Hi all, I have been asked to become a key practitioner in my area, just wondered if anyone else has experience of this. There is a large form to fill in and I am running out of time this term and wondered if anyone has been through this process. thanks Ger Quote
HappyMaz Posted July 5, 2008 Posted July 5, 2008 (edited) What's a key practitioner, Ger? Or am I being dense? Edited July 5, 2008 by HappyMaz Quote
Guest Posted July 5, 2008 Posted July 5, 2008 I teach in nursery/reception class and our link advisor and headteacher recommended I should become a key practitioner - so other teachers can come and observe good practice Quote

My role is to support other FS teachers and teaching assistants. Sometimes I have people coming into my unit to observe me and other times I am asked to work with people in their own setting. I also help to run FS network meetings with local schools which is good. It is hard work and quite time consuming (Idon't get paid any extra either) but it is worth it for your own professional development. Hope this helps. Boogie x Quote
