Creative Week Native American Indians

Hi there, it is creative week in school next week, has anyone any good suggestions, we are having a whole school creative day where ch will decorate totem poles, build camp fires, sing and perform native american chants and dances but just wondered if anyone any ideas for teaching my mixed reception / year one class.

The totem pole is mostly from Canada not America!

 

The totem tells a story of the village, the people and events, could you do a totem pole about your class, their visits, outings, events, achievments?
