She has asked me if i know whether she can end maternity early/ advice, because she doesn't know when legally she can start. She obviously also has to hand in notice with current employer. can anyone give any advice before i try acas? thanks lucie x SMP This is dependant on meeting certain conditions - see link above for these. without meeting these you become ineligable for the pay.. so may be that to recieve any payments she will have to stay with current employer, or decide not to recieve the money and change employer.. It is a bit of a minefiled but the HMRC site linked to above may be able to help a bit. Inge Quote

Guest Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 ACAS are very good @ giving advie - as an employer I will always get in contact with them - placing myself as the employee when I contact them - unless I have a god idea of the situation!!! Quote
