Guest Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 Hi We have a class that is not directly near our outdoor area and some staff are concerned that the ratios are not right when the teacher takes some children outside leaving a TA in the class room. How many would the TA be ok to have in the class? Sorry if this is really obvious but don't seem to be able to find it any where! Thanks
Guest Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 I always thought a Teaching Ass could only have 6 children at any one time. Unless they are a higher level teaching Ass. Dont know were I got this from though

Marion Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 It's difficult because your outside area is separate from your indoor. We have been told as ours links directly we are able to consider it a single area for ratio purposes but obviously it will be different for you.
