Guest Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Hi Must be being a bit dull today - sun gone to my head and all that........ but... Just curious as I saw this advert and wondered what the MPG stands for.. As this site is the font of all knowledge, felt sure someone would know Thanks Quote
Guest Wolfie Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Where's the advert? The only mpg I can think of at the moment is miles per gallon! Quote
Guest Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 I thought it was Main Professional Grade but I could be wrong Basic teacher fully qualified not NQT but without additional responsiblities or scale point or in other words what you see is what you get Quote
JacquieL Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 As said by the previous poster it is for a main scale teacher paid somewhere on the Main Professional Grade Scale and not with TLR. Quote
Marion Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 and someone who has not gone through the threshold ... Quote
Guest Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 Thanks folks Main professional grade sounds right as the ad stated that NQT's were "encouraged" to apply. Just as I was priding myself on all these abbreviation type words, this one came along and stumped me! I was really curious as I had not come across it before Thanks again Quote
Marion Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 usually they are advertised as MPS rather than MPG Quote
