Anyone Using The Reggio Approach In The South West?

Hi all,

I'm currently in my third year of an Early Childhood Studies degree and for the unit International perpectives on early childhood I have chose to focus upon the Reggio approach.

It would be great if anyone knows of a setting that uses the reggio approach so I could see it in practice in the UK??? :o

I am based in Somerset but am looking for somewhere anywhere in the south west!!

Tried searching on the internet but no results, thought I would try here then give the local councils and early years advisors a call!!

Many thanks

Hello,

My school takes part in a research project called The 5x5x5=Creativity. It is very much based upon the reggio approach. In the summer term we will have our resisdent artist visit every week to work with the children. We start with an initial provocation then use the threads of the children's ideas and interests throughout the term. We have been doing this for 3 years now and it is very successful. There are many settings around my area that take part and we are in the south west (Bath, Bristol and I think Wilts)
