Guest
We all feel a bit jaded at the mo, and need something to put the spark back into the group- looking for something (item) to introduce after the Easter break to inspire us and put the spark back into children and staff. We had planned to cover the theme/topic of nursery rhymes but our particular group of children are VERY LIVELY and love role play superheroes / princesses. Mind dead at the moment - any suggestions (nice ones that is!)

Rea
One of m favourite books at the moment is George and the Dragon read by Brian Blessed. You can get it on amazon but be sure its the one with the CD. Great music and a good story. Its about a dragon who is afraid of mice.
Guest
You could cover the magical theme of Fairytales. Each week you could cover a new story. You could have a castle in the role play corner with dressing up. You have a Prince and Princess Party where you could have a real Princess visit the Nursery (obviously a member of staff dressed up-drama) and teach them how to behave like Princes and Princesses-curtsey/bow etc. You could have a washing line with numbered laminated princessess that hang on pegs which the children can put in the right order. Wow! I can't stop!!!!!!
