Guest Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 Great to see that the Pre School Learning Allliance is urging the government to pay direct to the settings rather than the individual. We are experiencing major problems in the sector by people claiming tax credits and then spending the money and not handing it over for what it was intended- Childcare!!!! Is this a common problem throughout the country? Quote
Sue R Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 Don't know where you are, but it's a bit of a problem here, too! Quote
Marion Posted February 1, 2008 Posted February 1, 2008 We actually had a bit of a heated discussion about this. Two members of staff argued that the money wasn't pay for childcare because they have been claiming it and not accessing childcare and now they are they are complaining about costs. Quote

Guest Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 I agree too, the amount of parents i have to chase up for late payments is ridiculous and it is maddening to know they get full support every week. Quote
