Stepping Stone Question

Im a bit confused with the stepping stone, 'begin to use representation as a means of communication'. Any ideas????

This is my LA guidance

 

"Creates simple representations of events, people and objects and engages in music making.

For example:

• remarks that 'this material is my prickly hedgehog'

• sings familiar songs or taps out repeated rhymes

• uses props to support role-play, e.g. large blocks and boxes to create an airport

• squirms along the floor, pretending to be a snake"

look at the examples of what the children do in either the FSCG or the EYFS framework and that may show you what it is getting at. They are very helpful.
