Fsp - Writing Achievments

Hi - a quick question (if there is such a thing!!!!!) for those people working within nursery - what % of children would you realistically be expecting to achieve sclae point 2 for writing on the FSP at the end of the summer term???

wouldn't have any expectation - would depend on their starting points and many other individual factors. You could only look at your own children and their rates of progress.

We occasionally have a few children, usually girls, who use letters from their name in emergent writing. Or they can sometimes write the names of other people in their families too. But it depends on the children in the cohort, as Catma says. In the past we've had 6 or more who've used recognisable letters in their writing, other years there hasn't been anyone who does this.
