Guest Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 HI - am looking for a 'checklist' type evaluation form which focuses on effective role play areas. The form is for staff to us as a type of self evaluation/reflection excercise. Does anybody know where i can find anything suitable? Thanks. Quote
JacquieL Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 There don't seem to be any replies, and as the forum drama queen I had better just say Hello, and sorry we can't be more helpful. I think that is because no-one has a role-play evaluation sheet as such. I wonder if that means no-one actually does evaluate their role play or at least not in this way. We briefly evaluate all our provision once each week at our planning meeting, and would just comment on what we had seen taking place in the role-play and whether it is meeting our objectives. We make a written comment identifying any particular strengths we have observed in the children, or any concerns. We say how effective we thought it is, giving examples, and comment on the interest levels shown by the children. As we are ensuring that boys access all areas of provision, we would make a comment on whether the boys are engaging with it. Sorry I can't be more helpful. Quote
Guest Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 Thanks for taking the time to reply Jacqie - i thought it might be a bit of a long shot - but it was worth a try - will devise something for staff to use & include some of the 'reflection' points you have outlined. Thank you again. Quote
