It is a quality assurance scheme and I know someone at college who has just failed it..... we have to refer to it all the time in our FD work, but I never have had a copy, our tutor kindly copies the dimensions that we need information on - although many students have copies of the whole document at their setting. It has loads of information in and best practice alongside theoritical viewpoints with research, let me know if you are able to get a copy. I feel I need one as I am near Bristol! Basic rule for assignments for the FD is to mention the B Standard, EPPE, EEL, Pen Green, ECM, etc etc etc....
