Thanks Akire. yes I have, sorry I didn't make myself clear, I should have said that I had, had anyone else too? Just wondered whether anyone would 'surface' from the virtual world of the forum onto the real world of the tutorials. Mine are in Manchester - anyone else?

I just got an email from my tutor today - she's called Elaine. She didn't say where the tutorials are - just October 13th for the first one..... exciting and a little bit :o

Imagine it'll be Manchester though! So we'll meet myhenroxanne.... maybe we should talk car sharing... both being in Cheshire and all..... PM me if you're interested

No, no messages in my OU mail box. Any one from Essex doing the Degree via the OU?

I start my new post as Manager tomorrow, my stomach just feels "sick". I hope I have not taken on too much. I have decided to just go in, and over the next two weeks just observe how things are done in the nursery rooms and through out the nursery, I will only change things if they need changing, and I will always ask for staff input before making any changes and will also have an evaluation after a few weeks of any changes I might make to see if the changes are working.

I now have the task of getting to know and remember lots and lots of parents/carers faces and children, and need to prepare for my Ofsted fit person interview, so lots of policy reading and standards reading etc, at least I have two weeks to do this before the Degree starts.
