Introducing Rules

I would love to hear how others introduce class rules

we have a display board with pictures of the children and the rules we would like them to follow. This is out all the time and on occasions we go through them at different times in the session. The ist of rules is also in out policies and procedures booklet.

We usually form our own class rules in circle time so that they are the children's own rules (with a little adult push in the right direction). We stick to 3 or 4 class rules and once the concept is established we talk about school rules and rules in the community.
