Guest
I'm assuming that she is wanting to teach yoga to children and not just change her career? If so there will probably be some courses through the British Wheel of Yoga (BWY) which she may have already done if she is teaching yoga. It may be worth her contacting some of the people on this list to see how they did it http://www.kevala.co.uk/search/listarea.cf...amp;AreasID=190 Other than that, these courses may be relevant http://www.sheffcol.ac.uk/index.cfm?PID=ea...;Course=HEUTT1C http://www.yogabuds.org.uk/teachertraining.html may be somje useful advice here: http://www.learndirect-advice.co.uk/helpwi...es/profile1254/ or maybe a distance learning course in general child development would suit: http://www3.open.ac.uk/courses/bin/p12.dll?C01ED209
HappyMaz
Gosh: add this to a long list of organisations I never knew existed: The British Wheel of Yoga. And then I looked at the lady's name again and saw she's got 'BWY Dip' after her name - so she's obviously well qualified. I have thought about the benefits of yoga for young children before - but since I know nothing about yoga other than the usual perceived wisdom (which is often wrong anyway), I have never come to any conclusion. Does anyone teach yoga to pre-schoolers in their setting? Are there measurable benefits and if so, what are they? Ooh - sounds like a basis for a research project to me!
