tuffspot Posted August 11, 2007 Share Posted August 11, 2007 I need two practitioners- enthusiasm, maturity, understanding of children and a good sense of humour more important than qualifications- but if you have qualifications as well... These jobs come at a time when there are many new and exciting developments in the nursery. Both jobs promise the right person the opportunity to develop the rooms and fill them full of fun and learning. All I want is someone who can do the job, well, sensibly, on their own initiative, dynamically, politely, friendly, accurately, without bitching, whinging, whining, sickness and boyfriend/girlfriend/pet/parent problems. So, yes, I think maturity is essential in someone caring for children..................so long as they also have the other attributes you're looking for! Speaking as one whose sense of humour takes a bit of getting used to (so I'm told) I'd say if anyone laughed at my joke at the interview they'd be a shoo in. Equal ops policy permitting, of course.
