On Tapestry you can reactivate a child that is inactive or awaiting deletion on your account. To learn more about the process of deactivating children, you can take a look at this tutorial

Please note, to reactivate a child or children, you will need to have enough active child spaces on your Tapestry account.

The first step is click on your name in the top right-hand corner (1) and select 'Control Panel' (2) from the drop-down list. Next go to 'Manage Children' (3) from the left-hand menu.

At the top of the page you will see some options telling you how many enrolling, active, inactive and deleted children you have on your account, as well as the total number of children. Here you just need to select either 'Inactive' or 'Deleted' (4) depending on whether the child was made inactive or deleted. If you aren't sure, you can try one option and then the other.

I'm going to select 'Inactive' to begin with (1). To skip to the section on reactivating children who are inactive/deleted, click here.

You will now be able to see a list of your inactive children. You then just need to scroll through and see if the child you are missing is there. If so, you can click on the cog by their name (2) and select 'Make [child's name] active' (3).

If you have several children you want to make active again you can do this by selecting the tick boxes at the end of the row of the children's names (1) and then from the pop-up box in the bottom right-hand corner select 'Make active' from the list (2) and press 'Go' (3).

On the Next page you will just need to click the 'Make Children Active' button (1). If you decide you do not want to change the status of one of the children you can also select 'Do nothing' from the dropdown menu to the right of their name (2).

After you have done this you can then select 'Active' from the top to see all active children again and you will then see the child in that list.

If however, they are not there, or if you know you have accidentally deleted them, you will need to choose the 'Deleted' filter at the top of the page (1).

Once you have scrolled through this list and found the child, you can again either restore an individual child by clicking on the cog button at the end of the row of their name (2) and selecting to make them active (3).

Or you can restore several children by selecting them from the tick boxes (4) and then from the pop-up box in the bottom right-hand corner choosing the option 'Make active' (5).

It is also possible to restore enrolling children that have been accidentally marked for deletion back to enrolling. For that, you will need to make sure that you are filtering by 'Deleted' still, and then click on the child's cog (1) and select 'Make [child's name] enrolling' (2).

Note that this is the only case where you will be able to return a child to the enrolling status. The moment you activate them you won't be able to change their status back to 'enrolling'.

This tutorial will then talk you through how to make an enrolling child active.

It is also important to remember you can only restore deleted children for up to 90 days after they have been deleted.
