Adding Tag Sets

 Share

Recommended Posts

Tapestry offers a choice of pre-set tags for labelling and grouping your reflections or observations. There are tags for the various frameworks and more general tags for play characteristics, learning environment or staff and management.  When you make a reflection or observation you can link the tags and they provide a way of organising your reflections so you can see common themes or collect evidence for a visit or inspection.

To select the tags you would like to have available to you on your reflections or observations pages you need to go to the Control Panel (1) then click on 'Settings' (2). You can access the Tag Settings by going to 'Reflections' (3) and then follow the link (4) or you can click on 'Tags' (5).

Now you are on the Tag Settings page. Here you will see the Framework Tags you can choose from, as well as whether they are enabled or not for reflections and observations (1). You can see the individual tag available for each tag set by clicking 'View Tags' (2).

A box will then pop up with a preview of those tags.

To enable any tags click the configure button next to the tag sets you would like to use.

You will then be given the option to enable these tags for observations (1) and/or reflections (2). If you choose to enable the tags for observations you will have the additional option of whether you would like them to be visible to relatives (3). If you choose not to tick this option, published observations containing tags will still be visible to relatives; they just won't be able to see the tags themselves. Once you're done, click 'Save' (4).

Once you have selected your tag sets you will be able to see them on your 'Add Reflection' and 'Add Observation pages.

You can read more about how to tag your reflection with the tag sets you have enabled in the tutorial Adding a Reflection

Happy reflecting!
