About This File
In order to comply with the GDPR requirements you must ensure that you provide additional information that sets out, in detail, what data you are holding, why you are holding it and what you intend to do with it. This is this second, more detailed document that has taken so much time to produce. The simple version is here.
You do not need to provide every parent with this detailed copy. However, you must make sure that it is readily available - that might mean you display it in your entrance hall, post it on your website or provide an individual copy if it is asked for.
You can see the requirements for privacy notices from here.
This privacy notice was written ‘in-house’ by the FSF team. It has not been checked by lawyers and as such represents the FSF’s best interpretation of the GDPR as it applies to early years settings. Settings should decide whether they agree with the interpretations made before using the privacy notice. The privacy notice can be adapted to suit the specific needs of the setting but the FSF does not take any responsibility for the accuracy of any of the information included in the original notice. Once changed, the privacy notice no longer represents the work of the FSF team.
