After half term we're planning a very general theme on "Parties and Celebrations" - we thought it had a nice PSE focus for the new children and there are also a lot of different cultural celebrations that we can explore with the children, e.g. Diwali, Eid, Hanukkah....and of course Christmas!

Has anybody got any good ideas for activities?

Deborah
doing something similar myself this next half term.Last time we used Oxford reading trees The Toys party as a stimulus. We had a birthday party role play. Wrapped different shaped boxes up for M.D
Made play dough birthday cakes and counted candles. We looked at when the children had birthdays and placed names on balloons-different colours. This can then lead onto other special celebrations and then Jesus birthday party!!!
