we use the following rhyme with egg shapes in colours for the childern to hold and replace the mummy or daddy with a childs name to collect the eggs. They love it.

5 little easter eggs
Lovely colors wore;
Mother ate the blue one,
Then there were four.

4 little Easter eggs,
Two and two, you see;
Daddy ate the red one,
Then there were three.

3 little Easter eggs,
Before I knew,
Sister ate the yellow one,
Then there were two.

Two little Easter eggs,
Oh, what fun!
Brother ate the purple one,
Then there was one.

1 little Easter egg,
See me run!!!
I ate the last one,
And then there was none.

Little Peter rabbit had a fly upon his nose

Easter Rabbits
Five little Easter rabbits Hold up five fingers
Sitting by the door,
One hopped away, and then there were four.
Bend down one finger.

Refrain
Hop, hop, hop, hop, Clap on each hop.
See how they run!
Hop, hop, hop, hop, Clap on each hop
They think it is great fun!

Four little Easter rabbits Hold up four fingers
Under a tree,
One hopped away, and then there were three.
Bend down one finger

Repeat refrain.

Three little Easter rabbits Hold up three fingers
Looking at you,
One hopped away, and then there were two.
Bend down one finger

Repeat refrain.

Two little Easter rabbits Hold up two fingers.
Resting in the sun,
One hopped away, and there was one.

Repeat refrain.

One little Easter rabbit
Left all alone,
He hopped away, and there there were none.
Hand behind back.
Hop, hop, hop, hop!
Clap on each hop.
All gone away!
Hop, hop, hop, hop!
Clap on each hop
They'll come back some day.

Hot Cross Buns

Hot cross buns!
Hot cross buns!
One a penny, two a penny,
Hot cross buns!
If you have no daughters
Give them to your sons
One a penny, two a penny,
Hot cross buns.

The cleaning and scrubbing can wait till tomorrow, But children grow up, as I've learned to my sorrow.

So quiet down cobwebs; Dust go to sleep! I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep.

Has anyone got any Easter songs that are more suitable for a church service but not too heavy.
My head had said she would sort something out and at the last minute has left it to me, so I don't have long to practise.
Thanks

To the tune of 12345, once I caught a fish alive

1,2,3, 4,5 I know Jesus is alive,
6,7,8,9,10, and He’s coming back again.
Why did he go away
And come alive on Easter Day?
That’s what He had to do
To bring God close to me and you.

God's not dead - NO! (Shout 'No' and punch air)

He is alive! (Point up)
God's not dead - NO! (Shout 'No' and punch air)
He is alive! (Point up)
God's not dead - NO! (Shout 'No' and punch air)
He is alive! (Point up)
Feel it in my hands (clap clap)
Feel it in my feet (stamp stamp)
Feel it in my heart (bang fist on chest twice)
Feel it all over me! (crouch and spring up with arms out wide!)

Can you hear me humming the 2nd one for you? I think it is a familiar tune....
In music it goes like this :o

'C C C then shout 'No'
'E E D E D C'
'D D D then shout 'no'
'E E D E D C'
'C C C then shout 'No'
'E E D E D C'
'E E E D C' x 3
'E E F E D C - woosh!'

Good luck!
Thought is the blossom;
language the bud;
action the fruit behind it.

Ralph Waldo Emerson
