  • Our bank details have changed

Hi Weavers,

The last month has been a very exciting one here at Tapestry HQ due to the release of our new feature, ‘Reflections’.

Reflections is designed to help you with your reflective practice within your setting. It’s a place you can put down ideas and suggestions you have about your setting, your own practice and ways these can positively impact the children in your care. You can share and discuss these with other members of your team. It can be used in lots of creative ways; to assist with professional development, support staff well-being and generally share thoughts to improve your provision.

We’ve received some great feedback about it so far:

We’ve got lots of resources to help you get to grips with using Reflections on your account, such as videos, tutorials and podcasts. These can all be found on our Tapestry Encyclopaedia

We’re really proud of this new addition to Tapestry and we’d love to hear your thoughts about it. You can do this by emailing us at customer.service@eyfs.info or by tweeting us @Tapestry_FSF

Tapestry on YouTube

As some of you may be aware, earlier this year we moved to a new office building and one of the great things about our new offices, is the video recording suite we’ve managed to create. We’re already putting this to good use for our new YouTube channel!

You can find our channel and subscribe to it by searching Tapestry Online Learning Journal on YouTube or you can follow this link. On there you will be able to find tutorial videos talking you through how to set up and use Reflections on your account. We’ve also got lots of great video content planned, so do make sure to subscribe for more videos coming soon.

Tapestry Podcasts

To celebrate the launch of Reflections we’ve released two new Tapestry podcasts, both on the topic of reflective practice. One will help you get started with reflective practice and the other discusses how you can use it to help you prepare for Ofsted.

Our podcasts can be found on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and Google Podcasts. You can also find them on our Podcast web page here

We hope you find these two podcasts helpful, especially in relation to our new Reflections feature. Do watch this space for more podcasts from the FSF and Tapestry!

100 Ofsted Reports

As the new Ofsted inspection framework came into effect in September, one of our managing directors and co-founder of Tapestry, Helen Edwards, took on the task of reading the first 100 inspection reports since the framework was changed. She has been able to identify certain features reports are focusing on and advise our Tapestry weavers on any trends.

After completing her research, she’s got lots of interesting finds, so she’s split them into 6 articles; parts 1, 2, 3 and 4 are all now available to read on the Foundation Stage Forum on our Articles page in the Leadership and Management section

We hope this information helps you with your next Ofsted inspection.

Our bank details have changed

This month we have changed our bank from Lloyds to HSBC, so the details you now see on any invoices will be different. For any future invoices, please make sure to remember to check the payment details on your invoice if you are planning on paying by BACS and draw these changes to your finance team.

If you do want to make payment by BACS, please also remember to include your invoice number in the payment reference and to send a remittance to bacs@eyfs.info
