This is a fantastic opportunity to join a progressive and developing Pre School. St Johns is an established committee run Pre School serving the local community of Rownhams and Nursling.
The main ethos of the Pre School is that children learn through play in a safe, secure and happy environment.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual with experience of the EYFS who is dedicated to providing a high quality provision so that individual children can be nurtured through their development and learning.
We strive to develop good working relationships with all parents, carers, families and professional organisations and therefore excellent communication skills are valuable to this role.


Essential Requirements

• Three years' experience of working in a pre-school setting.
• CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Pre-school Practice, NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
• Current First Aid certificate or willingness to train
• Sound understanding of child development and of children's needs.
• Understanding / experience of the Early Years Foundation Stage
• Ability to plan and implement a pre-school curriculum.
• SENCO training and experience or willingness to learn
• Ability to work with parents and to encourage their involvement.
• Ability to lead a team of adults
• A qualification or a willingness to undertake training in Leadership and Management
• Commitment to equal opportunities and understanding of religious and cultural diversity.
• Ability to write clear reports, understanding and ability to use computer programmes word, excel and  email
• Enthusiasm and willingness to take on new schemes, projects and ideas
• Good physical and mental health
• Experience of a parent-managed/parent-involving pre-school committees

Required Qualifications

CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Pre-school Practice, NVQ level 3 or equivalent.

Desirable Qualifications

Foundation degree, Early Years Professional Status

Monday 8.45am – 4.15pm

Tuesday 8.45am – 1.30pm

Wednesday 12.30pm – 4.15pm

Thursday 8.45am – 4.15pm

Friday 8.45am – 4.15pm
