    Essential Requirements

    • Three years' experience of working in a pre-school setting.
    • CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Pre-school Practice, NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
    • Current First Aid certificate or willingness to train
    • Sound understanding of child development and of children's needs.
    • Understanding / experience of the Early Years Foundation Stage
    • Ability to plan and implement a pre-school curriculum.
    • SENCO training and experience or willingness to learn
    • Ability to work with parents and to encourage their involvement.
    • Ability to lead a team of adults
    • A qualification or a willingness to undertake training in Leadership and Management

    • Ability to write clear reports, understanding and ability to use computer programmes word, excel and  email
    • Enthusiasm and willingness to take on new schemes, projects and ideas
    • Good physical and mental health
    • Experience of a parent-managed/parent-involving pre-school committees
