I agree. I think that throughout the COVID pandemic the early years sector has been treated appallingly and nothing has changed with this ridiculous requirement! Boris stated that schools were safe for children as they do not tend to suffer too badly if they are infected but was clear that they were less safe for others as they are (Boris' words) 'vectors for transmission'. This must be the same for early years but we don't even warrant a scientific explanation for this decision. If we were all part of a union would they be be doing this?? Surely this has to be overturned somehow? I have never wanted to leave the sector as much as I do right now (and I love my job!!)

Has anyone who operates from a village hall been told that they may not be allowed back into the building? My VH committee have said they are struggling to find advice as to whether they should allow us back??! On a positive note though this would take the decision out of my hands. Just to add that we have also been told that we will receive full funding for 2nd half of term although no decision yet on funding being reclaimed if children have been attending another setting since March. I too have had a headache since Sunday evening and very grateful for this forum at the moment!!

Can I just ask how/if people are including holiday pay in any claim. I assume we can as it is a legal requirement?
