We are using Tapestry and absolutely loving it. Not only are the parents able to be involves they are also impressed.
We are still getting our heads around the amazing reports we can run!!
Please can I say I had a lot of sceptical staff at week two. However, by week four they were all weaving away!!!

How about something they can actually 'do' practically before writing about it - like washing your hands or putting your coat on? I spent a number of years teaching year one and it always worked best if the children could do it before writing it, or even if just sequencing it they can actually try it out and see for themselves if their plan works.
Yes thankyou for that

I have completed by FD in Eraly years and now have joined the BEd at year 3, i am on placement at the moment and i could do with some help, i have to plan an activity to do with instructions around the topic of ourselves for a year 1 class. The only thing i can come up with is either gettingd dressed or brushing our teeth. I just wonder if any body has any fab ideas. Many Thanks

Have just had a wonderful day, transforming our craft /messy area into an under the sea theme, along with large fishing net hanging from ceiling, crepe paper streamers, children decorating fish etc -(not bad for a church hall eh? althought the Minister hasn't seen it yet?!? just want a catchy title to welcome /invite children/parents into this area to enjoy the art and craft and messy play activities and to look at their displays - any ideas??? All I can think of is 'under the sea' - but that doesn't really entice people to come and have a look . . . waiting with anticipation . .

7/8. Write about the value of routine activities such as snack time, putting on coats to go outside, washing hands and how you encourage children to do these
9. List signs of distress and insecurities
10. M7 - 15
11. Why do you evaluate? (Improve activities, identify gaps in resources etc.)
12. M7 - 18
13. M7 - 19
14. Use the evaluation of your plans in M7
15. M7 - 20
16. M7 - 22
17. M7 - 24
18. M7 - 21
19. Health and safety policy
20. How can you make/beg resources (games, jigsaws, puppets, mobiles, dressing up clothes, make believe such as telephones, hairdryers etc.)
21. P2 - 18

They are sold by most of the educational suppliers. I can't find all my catalogues at the moment but I have seen them in Asco, Nes Arnold and SBS. The boxes are about £220 - £250. The accessories are quite expensive so I try and improvise where possible. If you get a sand box I would recommend using silver sand as normal play sand scratches the surface. Let me know if you decide to get one. Kaybee.
Hi i have been looking at your replay about light boxes as i have to plan for this area for the next half term and i noticed you talk about silver sand where do you get this from ????

Hi i hope i have done this right as i am new to this so please be gentle with me!!!!!
I have been given the task of planning cip for the light box in our nursery, this is exciting but also i am a bit short on ideas.
i am sure i have read somewhere that you can use white board pens on the light box does anybody know if this is correct, please advise as i was only asked yesterday and the planning needs to be done by next week
Many thanks
