Guest hollyc
hi to you all Part of our topic this half term is people who help us. we are having a visit from our local PC next week and want to set up a police station role play area outside. i am hoping it will encourage some of my more lively boys to become more enagaged in role play! Have got a few ideas, but was wondering if anyone out there has done this before and has got any good ideas! Holly
Guest
Clip boards or large diaries and a supply of pencils are always popular. Jean
Guest
It's quite a tricky one as there are often lots of children who want to do the arresting and nobody who wants to be arrested!! I have found I need to do lots of work on arresting people gently!! You could see if the children can think of ways to build a 'jail' and provide cartons, trays and plates for 'prison food' - which was usually 'worms' in our class!!
