DFES are currently running a consultation on funding for schools, early years and 14-16 yr olds.

 

Preschools worried about NEG sustainability for the future may want to contribute to this consultation.

Thanks for that Peggy. We will be providing 15 hours a week free from April 1st so will let you all know how it goes as a pathfinder project. As long as the parent spreads it out over 3 days they get the 15 hours. It is about time we get the same funding as the schools to do the same job.

Should be interesting to see how provision of 15 hrs at LA funding levels, without charging top-ups affects your sustainability. Unfortunately some settings can't offer 15 hrs due to access to hired premises, staffing etc.
